On Apple silicon models, some display features such as True Tone may need Apple’s calibration after any screen replacement. The display itself works fully as soon as it is fitted.
Installation
The quickest way to fix a damaged display: disconnect the old lid, fit the new assembly and reconnect. It is a plug-in repair, but it still involves opening the MacBook and working near the battery, so it is best suited to confident DIY repairers and technicians.
